UK and international governments’ energy policy is demanding that the energy sector and other organisations improve access to energy services for the most vulnerable people in society. This requires significant expertise.
CEE provides this expertise and we work collaboratively to support organisations to make informed decisions that increase energy equality.
We provide organisations with tailored support to help them identify energy and social challenges, and work with them to overcome them. We help create and implement decarbonisation strategies that ensure all parts of our communities benefit equally from low carbon technologies.
We have particular expertise in developing strategies to tackle consumer vulnerability, and we work with organisations with a responsibility to improve access to energy services for the most vulnerable.
CEE is based at the University of Chester’s Energy Centre and both commissions and undertakes research to improve knowledge of the issues around energy equality. Our expertise covers technical product development, evaluation of projects, and short- and long-term studies about the impact of a lack of access and its consequences.
