Consumer Vulnerability & Priority Services

Recognising the importance of addressing vulnerability and delivering targeted support is critical when safeguarding and empowering every energy consumer.

Our mission to create a more inclusive and equitable energy landscape hinges on ensuring that the voices of all people are heard and their needs are met. This includes helping to identify those in most need of support, designing bespoke services, and creating educational materials that lead to increased engagement.

Identifying Vulnerability and Tailoring Support

Consumer vulnerability is multifaceted, stemming from various factors such as financial hardship, health challenges, age, disability, or unique circumstances that render individuals and households more susceptible to energy-related difficulties. We utilise demographic analysis and vulnerability mapping to help identify people and communities that may require additional support.

Community Collaboration and Advocacy

We work closely with local communities, governments, and advocacy organisations to help create networks of support. Through community engagement and advocacy initiatives, we amplify the voices of vulnerable consumers, advocating for consumer rights and ensuring that all people’s energy concerns are addressed comprehensively.

Education and Empowerment

Our approach extends beyond immediate support. We believe in empowering vulnerable consumers with knowledge and tools to navigate the energy landscape. Through educational programs and resources, we enable individuals and households to make informed decisions about their energy usage, reduce costs, and enhance their energy security. This includes utilising our Fairer Warmth energy advice system
