Community Energy & Advice

The transition to a sustainable energy future can only be fully realised when communities are active participants in the process.

Our approach focuses on community engagement, local energy planning, equity, inclusivity, and education. We collaborate closely with local residents, stakeholders, and community energy organisations to develop tailored solutions that meet each community’s unique needs.

Additionally, we provide capacity-building resources and support the establishment of energy advice programs, utilising our Fairer Warmth Energy Advice System to empower communities and bridge disparities in energy access and affordability.

Community Engagement Schemes

We work hand in hand with local residents, stakeholders, and community energy organisations to co-create solutions that align with the unique needs and aspirations of each community.

Local Energy Area Planning

We can support the creation of Local Energy Area Plans that guide the development and implementation of community-centred energy solutions. These plans are tailored to each community’s characteristics, incorporating aspects like energy generation, storage, distribution, and efficiency measures that align with their unique contexts and focussed on ensuring that all people within communities have equal access to the eventual solution.

Equity and Inclusivity

Community Energy is only truly transformative when it is inclusive. We actively work to ensure that marginalised communities are not left behind in the energy transition. Our initiatives prioritise equitable access to energy benefits, helping bridge disparities in energy access and affordability.

Capacity Building and Education

We can support development of community energy initiatives through creation of bespoke resources suited to local needs. We can also help to establish energy advice programmes utilising our Fairer Warmth Energy Advice System.
